8 Gang Switch Mount - Ashtray Replacement

Replaces your 84-96 Cherokee or Comanche factory ash tray to house a standard size 8 gang switch.

• YOUR ASH TRAY TABS MUST BE INTACT FOR THIS TO MOUNT

Engineered to take less than 2 minutes to install, you only need a Philips screwdriver to remove and reinstall one screw in the dash!

Installation Instructions: 

1. Open ash tray and push down on white tab, pull outward to remove.
2. Assemble switch into new mount as shown in the video
3. Remove dash screw where mount tab aligns (see pictures)
4. Turn key on but do not start engine.
5. Foot on brake, shift transmission into Drive.
6. Place hooks of new mount onto existing ash tray tabs in the ash tray slot.
7. Tilt mount upward and reinstall screw.
8. Put vehicle in park.
9. It's that easy.

Note 1: Cord placement - the dash and center console are not connected underneath the ash tray slot, the cord is easily push between the two and is out of sight, no need to drill holes.

Note 2: Your screw in your dash may not be long enough; you can use a 1" long #8 sheet metal screw found at all big box home stores and hardware stores.

Note 3: This will be extremely close to your automatic gear selector when in Park. This is normal. It may touch the mount slightly on some vehicles even though the ones it was tested on did not touch.
